I had a grand time getting lost in Indy + being rained on in cute historic neighborhoods with this one over the weekend. It has been way too long since I’ve been out on a session to just be creative and shoot for myself! Doing personal work is such an important part of staying inspired and not getting burned out. This shoot was exactly what my heart needed. I actually began my photography career shooting fashion inspired portraiture because I’m the oldest of FOUR sisters. You could say I had quite a few models to practice on 😉 Over time I have transitioned into doing weddings for a majority of my work but never want to give up this part of my craft. I can’t tell you how good it felt to get back to my roots a bit! I definitely need to start working on portraits a bit more.
